Job Description:
Handle incoming calls from customers, healthcare providers, and pharmacies regarding prescription-related inquiries
Verify and validate prescription information, including dosage, medication names, and patient details
Document customer concerns, complaints, and prescription-related issues
Provide guidance regarding prescription refills, medication adherence, potential drug interactions, and general medication information
Access and update customer records and prescription data using computer systems and software applications
Communicate with healthcare professionals, insurance providers, and pharmacies to verify, authorize, and process prescriptions
Escalate complex or urgent issues to pharmacists or supervisors
Monitor, track, and analyze call center performance metrics, including call handling time, customer satisfaction, and quality standards
Stay updated on industry regulations, medication trends, and new pharmaceutical products
Requirements:
Working knowledge of problem solving and decision-making skills
Must be a resident and Licensed Pharmacy Technician in one of: Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas or Vermont
Candidate must obtain Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician license (application and fee) upon hire
Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) preferred
Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Rhode Island or Massachusetts preferred
Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work 40 hours per week
