Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team for part-time summer work at our busy café. Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to our guests while supporting the daily operations of the café.
Duties
- Taking orders from customers and serving food and beverages with professionalism and friendliness
- Preparing simple food items and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen stations
- Handling cash transactions accurately and operating point-of-sale systems
- Assisting with stock replenishment and inventory management
- Upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Providing excellent guest services by addressing customer needs promptly and courteously
- Ensuring food safety procedures are followed at all times to maintain hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation skills are advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when engaging with guests
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or culinary roles is a plus but not mandatory
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team spirit are essential for success in this role
Pay: £10.00-£12.71 per hour
